Hashtag - The Blah Street Gang
Recorded at the Picco Studios in 2019, this was the second album from The Blah Street Gang.
A mix of covers and original material, this album starts with a thundering rock and roll number, 'Let it Rock' complete with participating audience.
Covers include the latin lilt of 'Up on the Roof' and the deep beat of 'Bring It on Home to Me'. Originals include 'Don't Give Me a Sad Song' with its upbeat melody and the thought provoking 'Hole in Your Pocket', the tongue-in-cheek 'Lost For Your Love', the lovely ballad 'Wherever I Go' as well as other catchy songs.
'Room 207' was inspired by a strange incident in a hotel room in Belgium - and was also, coincidentally, the number of the hotel room Russian assassin Villanelle was staying in during an episode of the TV series Killing Eve.
